Our winery, located next to the village of Montefioralle ( Greve in Chianti), is a boutique winery created by the passion and dedication of three friends, Catherine Storrar, David Gardner and Chris Mayer. Catherine and David have had years of experience in hospitality and tourism as they are the owners of the beautiful 4 stars hotel Villa Bordini in Greve in Chianti.  The ‘Tenuta di Monte-Ficali’ estate was born from the ashes of the historic ‘Mezzuola’ estate of the Bordoni family, who had made Chianti Classico in the lands surrounding their hunting lodge since 1782. Our vineyards are among the best terroirs of the Chianti Classico area. We produce our wines giving the utmost care of the environment and we will soon become biological.

A burst of sweet dark cherry, chocolate, spice, leather and a touch of new oak give the 2017 notable depth and concentration. I would give it a year or two in bottle, but I imagine it will always remain a powerhouse."
