Biography of WINE MAN

WINE MAN winery is a family-owned company, founded by Alexandre Jorjadze in 1998 in Kakheti region - main wine growing region of Georgia. Family name Jorjadze belongs to a noble family of Kakhetian Princes, dating back to its origins in 980. Several representatives of this family significantly contributed to the development of Georgian winemaking. Grandfather of the WINE MAN company founder, Prince Alexandre M. Jorjadze (1855-1918) was a well-known winemaker and had admirers of his wine in Tiflis, capital of Georgia. Alexandre’s family pride was Kakhetian white Gunashauri wine, which was bottled into a one-liter bottle with label, corked up and sealed with sealing wax. This wine was produced and aged according to a special technology and despite its high price had its admirers and buyers. At the present time, owner of WINE MAN winery, Alexandre Jorjadze, together with his two daughters, is continuing his grandfather’s tradition of winemaking. Vineyards of the company are located in best micro zones of Kakheti wine region, main ones in Kakhi-Pari village. Wines are produced in the winery in Tsinandali village and also in Ikhalto village, nearby the Ikhalto Monastery and School-Museum of Qvevri. We believe, that the wine is the result of a unique interaction of a man and the nature, and that interesting wine is produced by interesting people. At WINE MAN winery wines are produced by one of the best Georgian winemakers - Revaz Lashkhi. He is carefully controlling every production process, from the primary treatment of grapes to bottling, guaranteeing the constant high quality of the product and ensuring continuation of Jorjadze family winemaking tradition.
