Biography of Maison Meï

Acquiring Domaine Saint Jean in Pertuis, is the culmination of a long-standing personal and family project. Since many years, Bernard Meï works in the industrial sector and, along with his teams, he grows the businesses he created. His cousin Benjamin has been trained in wine growing and wine making in some of the most prestigious establishments in Provence, Burgundy, Languedoc and also overseas in Chile. When Benjamin returned to France, 4 years ago, the two cousins decided to combine their skills and establish the wine merchant company Provence Wine Maker. Their first cuvée “Rose Infinie” was born from this shared passion and others would quickly follow. Meeting winegrowers, choosing terroirs and blending the grape varieties was already extremely rewarding. Now it was their turn to work their own lad and cherish their vines. The family loved the position of the Provencal bastide, surrounded by vines at the foot of the Luberon Mountain, and at the beginning of 2019 they bought the Domaine Saint Jean and created Maison Meï. AN ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPECTFUL APPROACH The entire estate is situated is the AOP Luberon area. 30 hectares of vines producing Syrah, Grenache (White and Black), Carignan, Marselan et Vermentino. 30 hectares of vineyards which we are determined to preserve and develop to their highest potential. We are working closely with the Luberon Regional Park to identify all the animal species present at the estate. Domaine Saint Jean is part of those farms and wine estates that guarantee the application of particularly environmentally friendly practices and biodiversity conservation. Therefor, Domaine Saint Jean has the certification High Environmental Value level 3, the highest level for the environmental certification in France. It offers a guarantee of sustainable and respectful practices for the consumer.
