Biography of Spalletti Colonna di Paliano

In the heart of Romagna, immersed in the beautiful lands of the historic Tenuta di Savignano sul Rubicone, there are vineyards that surround the Castello di Ribano where in 1875 Count Giulio Rasponi founded the winery. The estate with its 55 hectares of vineyard boasts a centuries-old tradition that began as early as 1500, when its wines revived the Classensi monks in vacation at the Castello di Ribano, sec. XI. Since then the vocation of the territory to the art of making good wine has been handed down within the family and has thus remained intact. Prince Giovanni Colonna di Paliano is the current owner of the Tenuta di Savignano that with farsightedness has expanded the vineyard cultivations and built a new and modern wine cellar, inaugurated in 2005, a place where all the passages of winemaking enjoy a perfect and rigorous harmony between them exalting all the best potential. The characteristic sensoriality of the wines of Spalletti Colonna di Paliano is the result of an accurate human and technological path studied in detail to guarantee a product of excellence.
